His Excellency, Bishop Michael Barber, SJ (Diocese of Oakland), together with Fr. Rafal Duda and Rev. Canon Olivier Meney, hosted a dinner at the Father Kozina Hall last week to thank the parishioners of St. Margaret Mary for the efforts with the capital campaign project. In a short period of time, the parish went beyond 110% (more than $400,000) of the original goal — an incredible success for a small parish in the diocese. Bishop Barber also announced that due to health issues, Pastor Fr. Stan Zak is going into retirement. Father Rafal Duda, who was generous with his time as parochial administrator has been appointed as parochial vicar in Pleasanton. Father Glenn Naguit, will be taking the administrator position at St. Margaret Mary’s effective November 2015. Click here for photos of the dinner.
