I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Paul Uhl, owner of Altar Worthy Handmade Vestments while he was visiting San Francisco. His company is based out of Seattle, Washington.  It was Providence that we now met face to face because we are in communication with them only via email to hopefully commission them to make a Solemn High Mass Set for us.  We are preparing for the Pontifical High Mass this year.

Visit their website at http://www.altarworthy.com/photo-gallery.html

Below are some of their beautiful works of art!

A Bishop of Rome Celebrates Laetare Sunday with the FSSP

http://networkedblogs.com/Vt4wK

The Fraternity of St Peter’s Roman parish, Santissima Trinità dei Pellegrini, was very honored to welcome as the celebrant of the Mass for Laetare Sunday His Excellency Matteo Zuppi, the Auxiliary Bishop of Rome responsible for the pastoral care of the city center, including Trinità dei Pellegrini. This was the first time that an auxiliary of Rome durante munere has celebrated Mass in the Extraordinary Form in a Roman parish since the post-Conciliar liturgical reforms began, and the whole parish community was very glad to accede to His Excellency’s request to say the Mass.
The miter which His Excellency is wearing here was a gift to him from the parish.

As Fr. Joseph Kramer, the parish priest, stated when welcoming the bishop before the beginning of the Mass, “Monsignor Zuppi’s presence here today represents the union in law, but also in affection, which exists between this parish and the diocese of Rome. As pastor, together with all the members of the parish, we are Continue reading

San Francisco Archbishop: Those dissenting from Church teachings shouldn’t receive Communion

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, March 31, 2014 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Speaking with LifeSiteNews about the matter of worthiness to receive Holy Communion last week, Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone said that Church teaching on the matter “has been very clear and consistent from literally the very beginning.”

The Church’s teaching goes “all the way back to St. Paul who writes in 1 Corinthians that anyone who does not receive the Eucharist worthily, that is if they are in a state of sin, blasphemes the body and blood of the Lord,” the archbishop explained.

The leader of San Francisco’s 444,000 Catholics noted that those who would dissent “from a defined Church teaching” and those who would violate the moral teaching of the Church in a serious way, “are not properly disposed to receive Holy Communion.”

“As St. Paul teaches, if they dare to approach knowing that they are in such a state of sin, they bring condemnation upon themselves,” he said. “This is not a harsh judgment of the Church, but our understanding of the Eucharist is that it is not simply a way of welcoming people, a way of affirming people.”
