Commemoration of Our Lady of Ransom
It has come to my attention that I have missed mentioning a few people on my past Thank You Letter (dated September 15, 2013). Writing that letter was bittersweet for me since on the one hand, we can clearly see that God is at work among those gracious helpers, and on the other that I was not there myself personally to neither witness it nor be able to be part of it. My apologies for being remiss and do know that it is not intentional on my part to miss acknowledging everybody who was part of that great event.
To the FAASTAR group led by their officers: Mrs. Estrelle Chan – President, Ms. Nelly Chin – Asst. Treasurer, and Mr. Peter Chan – Sgt. At Arms, your work and help has always been a welcome part of our work in the Parish. Your continued sacrifices have always been appreciated. To Mr. Paul Palencia, Mr. John Yam, Mrs. Carol Yam and all the ushers in our masses, thank you for your ardent work. You have maintained a steady yet assuring presence within our group and we cannot thank you enough for doing what you do. To Mrs. Glenda Condran, a big thank you once again for all that you do and I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank you on behalf of everyone for your generous donation of another set of Communion Cloth to be used on our Altar Rails.
My gratitude extends to everyone, named or unnamed. I know well enough that there are more people out there that remain anonymous and have silently yet graciously given help to us in any form or fashion. If in my humanity, I have forgotten to mention certain people, please forgive me. God knows our work and our sacrifices and He in the end will be the final judge of it all.
My dear friends, we have in this moment a wonderful chance of evangelization. We must push forward and show how Christian Joy and Charity works. Our work together is an evangelizing tool to those people outside. We need to show them that we are working not for our own ends but for God and Holy Mother Church. The road is difficult and we know that the Enemy is at work. And He is, for he knows that we are doing GOD’s work! We must stand together, undivided and without petty scruples. Let us let go of pride and accept humility. We do what we can and have God’s will bring it to completion.
Once again, thank you to everyone and my apologies for being remiss.
May God continue to work His wonders amongst us and guide us along the way!
Laudetur Jesus Christus!
Sincerely yours in Christ,
