Trinity Sunday: 1st Public Traditional Latin Mass (Low Mass) on May 26, 2013

Star of the Sea Church, San Francisco, California (map): The first public Traditional Latin Mass (now known as the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite) since the post-conciliar liturgical reform was celebrated in this parish last May 26, 2013 (Trinity Sunday), by the Pastor, Fr. Mark Mazza. During the sermon, Fr. Mazza announced that Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone has designated the Star of the Sea Church as one of the Latin Mass sites for the Archdiocese of San Francisco. This mass will continue to be celebrated at 11AM every Sundays and on Holy Days of Obligation (check weekly bulletin here). About 270 people were in attendance. The Chinese-American Association generously offered refreshments for the visitors at the parish hall after mass.
